Healthy Breakfast Sandwich (easy steps w/ visual guide)


DESCRIPTION

This is one of my go-to breakfast options. It's balanced, easy , and tastes absolutely amazing! Using just a few common ingredients, we can make a sandwich that's way tastier and cheaper than a $8 store bought sandwich. Of course, you can also custumize your own breakfast sandwich however you would like. Without further ado, let's just get started! 

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 slices of bread of your choice
  • 1 slice of tomato
  • 1 egg
  • A handful of spinach

SPICES
  • Salt
  • Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare all the ingredients. Toast 2 slices of bread and fry a sunny side up egg.
2. Evenly lay a layer of spinach on a piece of toast.

3. Place tomato slice on top.

4. Place sunny side up egg on top of tomato slice.

5. Place a few more pieces of spinach on top of egg.

6. Finally, place another slice of bread on top, then cut the sandwich in half.

7. Enjoy!


NOTES

This recipe is great to be served with some sweetened almond milk and chia seeds. It is also very easy to make homemade almond milk if you have a high-speed blender. 

Homemade Almond milk Recipe:

1. Soak 200g almonds for 8-12 hours and peal. 
2. Then, blend them with 940ml water until smooth. 
3. Finally, filter the blended mixture and you will get homemade almond milk!

Add 2tbsp honey to 250ml almond milk, then sprinkle some chia seeds on top. Voila, you've just made sweetened chia almond milk!
